About us

The BiostatOmics group was established in January 2024 at the Department of Applied Statistics, Operations Research and Quality, Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) (Spain), and is led by Dr. Sonia Tarazona.

We are a research group at the interface of statistics, machine learning and computational biology.

Our work focuses on developing novel statistical methods and open-source software for the analysis of omic or multi-omics (MO) datasets (transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, epigenomics, and beyond) to understand complex biological systems.
